Western Power
Already licensees of the Spares Optimization System (SOS) at the Muja Power Station, Western Power have now acquired the RCM Turbo methodology for application to the assets with the Kwinana and Muja Power Stations.
Western
Power is Western Australia's leading energy corporation with more than
740,000 industrial, commercial and residential customers in its home
State.
To
meet the needs of a 2,525,000 square kilometer land mass, which
represents more than a third of the Australian continent and is home to
almost 10% of the Australian population, Western Power owns, maintains
and operates five major power stations and 32 smaller power stations
with a total capacity of more than 3,000 megawatts.
It
operates two major interconnected systems, in the south west corner of
Western Australia and the Pilbara in the north, as well as 29 separate
systems in remote parts of the State. The
company has fixed assets of $3.1 billion and generates annual revenue of
more than $1.3 billion.
Western
Power is wholly-owned by the Western Australian Government, and is a
separate, corporatized business entity operating commercially in an
increasingly competitive industry, which is being deregulated
progressively. The Board of Directors is responsible to the Minister for
Energy.
