QENOS
Qenos is a new Australian company and the market leader in plastics and rubber.
Their products are a part of every day life - the raw materials used in thousands of household, consumer and industrial products. At Qenos they use Australian oil and gas feedstocks from Bass Strait and the Moomba Basin.
Qenos employs 1,200 people. They have plants in Sydney and Melbourne producing olefins, polyethylene, polypropylene, synthetic rubber and engineering plastics.
Qenos supplies a diverse range of specialty polymers. That makes Qenos a vital link in the Australian manufacturing chain, supplying industries that employ hundreds of thousands of people.
They are a joint venture between the Australian company Orica and two of the biggest names in petrochemicals, Exxon Chemical and Mobil Chemical. Qenos are the cornerstone of a major Australian industry.
